Born and raised in small-town Missouri, my roots run deep. I’m a Christ-following, flannel-wearing, blog-writing, nature-craving, dog-loving, coffee-sipping Mom, “Grammy K” old soul, history buff, and lifelong learner. Years of camping and R.V. life have created my craving for simplicity and roads less traveled. The truths learned under steeples, our Creator’s Great Outdoors, traveling and meeting others, and continued curiosity, have grown my grit and grace. In May of 2022, I was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Neuroendocrine. It’s also known as N.E.T.s (Neuroendocrine Tumors). Originating in my pancreas it metastasized to my liver, lymph nodes, ribs, spine, skull, hip, and pelvis. In November of 2023, as a patient of the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute, the bulk of my cancer was removed (along with several organs). Are you thriving despite disease? Let’s not be defined by diagnosis! Friends, none of us are defined by what we do, a disease we may have, and our mistakes or successes. I bet my life on a promise from God. It’s the one truth to which I cling. My joy, despite the diagnosis, only comes from the grace and mercy provided by my Heavenly Father. It’s not about religion. To me, it’s about a relationship with my Creator. Join me in anecdotal stories of life. Let’s take a ride through open prairies, trails, mountains, rivers, and the historically stunning places of our amazing world–and stay grounded with faith, family, and friends. My name is Karla, I’m Flannel with Faith. Do you know how loved you are?
","icons":[{"src":"https://deow9bq0xqvbj.cloudfront.net/image-logo/20324816/Podcast_Flannel_with_Faith8bdp8_300x300.jpg","sizes":"300x300","type":"image/png"}]}
